Time to Sign up for the Ballpark
Hello Colt Band Family, It is that time of year again! It's time for Texas Rangers Baseball! Go Rangers!! We have a great time working these games and it is a great opportunity to get to know other band parents! Anyone 16 years and older is eligible to work and you do not have to be an approved volunteer. You can bring aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends, ... make this a family affair. I have completed the game dates and times on sign--up genius at the following link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4da5a923a1ff2-rangers3 I have posted the actual game time but please keep in my mind that gates open two hours prior to game time and we need to be open and ready to serve. Please plan on arriving at least 3 hours prior to the posted game time. For example, please plan on arriving by 4 PM for a 7:05 game. Please check your availability and sign-up in the designated slots. I have included back-up slots for those who will be available if someone is unable to work at the last minute. Wednesday is Dollar Dog Night so we need people who are available to come wrap dogs from about 4-6 PM. This is not included in "Fair Share" payouts. Remember, it is now possible to pay your band fees and band trip with the "Fair Share" program!! The payouts are as follows: Manager $50/game TABC $25/ game Prep $20/game Managers are responsible for the stand. You will arrive before the other workers to count inventory, prepare the cash registers, and make sure everyone is in place at gate opening. During the game, just help to ensure the stand runs smoothly ..... This is never a problem because we have the absolute best team ever! At closing, you will count the final inventory, carry the money to the cash office, and make sure the stand is ready for the next game. Again, AHS Colts are the best so this is never a problem. There will be manager training March 11 and March 25 at the Ballpark 9AM to 2PM. TABC work the cash register and serve the beer. For this position, you must complete the TABC certification online (www.tabcpermit.com) and attend a Delaware North one-hour training that covers the house rules. I have included training dates and times. The price for the online class is $10.99 Prep helpers work the line to take orders, help the cooks assemble the Boomstick, cut bread, fold boxes, etc. There is not any special training required to work the line. We are all responsible for clean up at the end of the night and typically we plan on staying for an hour past game time to set the stand for the next day If you are interested in attending training sessions, please let me know so I can reserve you a seat. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.
